After being two-timed by the same magician, eccentric magician’s assistants Josie and Roxanne team up to perform the first ever assistants-only magic show. The only issue is…they don’t know how to do magic.
Assistants Only is a mockumentary short written and directed by Fiona Huxley, and starring Circus Jerks - Fiona and Izzy’s comedy duo.
Assistants Only aims to be a launching point into the Circus Jerks cinematic universe. Fiona and Izzy are setting out to build a world of characters and stories, similar to Portlandia while following the mockumentary style of Christopher Guest films.
At its core, Assistants Only is about female friendship and what happens when women stop waiting to be chosen, and decide to take the stage themselves.
